Obama`s Re-Election---Ethiopia--The Future!
http://www.ethioforum.org/what-should-ethiopians-expect-in-a-second-obama-term.html/
ReCaliber! Thanks for such a discussion about the future of Ethiopia in regards to Obams re-election as President of USA. You speak a lot of sound truth. I am in agreement with you regarding: "ask not what Obama can do for you". We should perhaps be asking, instead: “Who the "**^*" asked Obama to do anything for Ethiopia. Who said that Obama wants to "work" for Ethiopia?” Obama is America´s president and only that. Everything he does is done for his job as president of USA. He does not have time to "help" others. But he does have time to protect America´s interest everywhere and anywhere on the planet, even perhaps on the Moon and Mars and Venus. That is why he is interested or not interested in Ethiopian or Africa. (Only as long as it helps promote, facilitate the interest of USA.) If it were that Obama was interested in the Welfare or Interest of Ethiopia or The Ethiopian people, he would not have approved the billions of dollars of aid, which could only be misused by the regime at Addis to oppress the people of Ethiopia. Obama wanted Alkaida gone. Obama also wanted the Horn of Africa free from any extremist or terrorist. Fair enough!! We understand this, don´t we? He paid the Wayne to do the bloody job for him. Simple business. We understand this, too. Don´t we? The Obama “Humanitarian Heart” belongs to USA only, not to Ethiopia! Ethiopians must have their own “Humanitarian Heart” that works for Ethiopians, and puts the Human Rights correctly and firmly anchored in Ethiopia and Ethiopians. We should not expect others would "sacrifice" their time or resource to “HELP” us, "helpless" Ethiopians, to get our Human Rights "protected". Super powers are Superpowers! They look after themselves only. They do it well, too. They assume others do look after themselves just like they do. We should stop playing the role of victim and get the job done:
If Obama wants a terrorist free planet, it is fine and good for him and good for the whole earth. But there is no law under the Sun or above; on Earth or in Heaven which says that the innocent people of Ethiopia shall be the ones to pay the priceless price in terms of exile, sudden and unjustified displacement, abused/damaged/ human rights, abused freedom of expression, impresonment, poverty, etc. This in not only Bad Business but also unjust and unfair, when observed from the Ethiopian point of view.
